Cutbill Jacoby PR Launches To Focus On Emerging Industries

-

PRESS RELEASE

Cutbill Jacoby, a London-based Communications and PR agency for emerging industries, launches to initially service the fast-growing industrial hemp and CBD sectors in the UK. Co-founded by comms professionals Andrew Cutbill and Charlie Jacoby, the business has already been rewarded with its first retained client, consumer products group Tenacious Labs.

The agency will provide the corporate reputation services valued by such businesses as they compete in fast-moving, emerging arenas. Cutbill Jacoby provides a package of services including corporate reputation management, crisis management and branding. The founding partners built their comms reputation on Westminster representation and campaign work, as well as network, channel and broadcast content creation. They have an in-depth knowledge and experience of the hemp and CBD sectors.

Andy Cutbill, co-founder of Cutbill Jacoby, says: “Emerging industries are a gift for content creation. The work of communications businesses in this sector is to improve public perceptions and to remove the stigma that can surround new and disruptive sectors, and establish and maintain corporate reputations.”

Both Cutbill and Jacoby have long and award-winning careers in the communications and creative industries. Since 2019, they have been part of a small international operations team working for founding entrepreneurs to create, launch and grow premium discretionary spend businesses. These businesses include Axia, a new 40% ABV extra dry Mastiha spirit, and Tenacious Labs, a consumer products group that has now become a client.

In 2019, both Cutbill and Jacoby were instrumental in creating the Westminster All-Party Parliamentary Group for CBD Products. Since the group’s inauguration, Cutbill Jacoby has continued to work closely with the APPG and, last year, co-authored and managed publication of the parliamentary paper, A Plan for a legal and regulated UK hemp and cannabis sector.

While Cutbill has spent his time in Westminster, Jacoby brings experience of  building digital networks and broadcast channels. One such network, Fieldsports Channel, now boasts 10 million unique logged-in viewers and more than 300,000 subscribers on YouTube. It has 150,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok, and pioneered sponsor-funded and crowdfunded TV news.

Andy Cutbill, co-founder of Cutbill Jacoby, says: “Cannabis, from industrial hemp to medicinal, is one of the most promising sectors in international business. Countries and states around the world are fast moving towards legalisation. With the promise of £5.5 billion in annual tax generation and over 500,000 jobs, the UK is part of this change. Cutbill Jacoby are perfectly positioned to provide corporate PR services in this arena.”

Charlie Jacoby, co-founder of Cutbill Jacoby, says: “Our work at the forefront of regulation and legislation development give us a unique competitive advantage. Together with our experience in crisis management, and significant understanding and skills in broadcast network and channel creation, Cutbill Jacoby is set to lead the way in corporate PR services for the cannabis industry.”

Adrian Clarke, Chairman of Tenacious Labs, says: “To succeed in the cannabis industry you need to change hearts and minds at every level. Charlie and Andy have proven highly capable at this, both viscerally and commercially.”

Lorenza Romanese, MD of the European Industrial Hemp Association (EIHA), says : “The reason the UK authorities are able to regulate a complex sector such as industrial hemp is  because they are accompanied and supported by the competent and professional expertise of Andy, Charlie and the team.”
